A portrait is more than a picture of an individual’s face.
The concept of a portrait is subjective. Is it simply an image of a person or a group of people? Personally, I don’t think so, it’s not that simple. A true portrait captures emotion, personality, and a meaning of life. When I am contracted to shoot a portrait I need to get to know the subject, the person. I do research, I ask questions. It’s the only way to for me to capture a true portrait of an individual. I need to know their goals, what drives them to be the person they are.
A head shot is based on needs, depending on the purpose. Casting directors need to see character potential. Talent agents want to see versatility. Customers need to see experience and reliability. I’ve delivered head shots with proven success in all of these scenarios. Visit my Instagram feed to see a stream of work and read the comments. Or visit my testimonials page to see success stories.
